2. What data we process, and why
We keep data collection to a minimum and use no advertising trackers. Optional statistics and external services load only if you accept them in the cookie banner.
- Contact form: your name, company (optional), email address, project type, message and the language selected. We use it to reply to your enquiry and to prepare a proposal.
- Email, WhatsApp and booked calls: whatever you share when you contact us through those channels, used for the same purpose.
- Website statistics (only if you accept): pages viewed, approximate location (country and region), device and browser type, and how you arrived, collected through Google Analytics under a random identifier. We use it to understand interest in the website over time and by region.
- Server logs: our hosting provider A2 Hosting records technical data (IP address, date and time, requested page) to run and secure the website.
- Language and cookie choice: stored only in your own browser (local storage) so the site remembers EN or ES and your answer to the cookie banner. They are never sent to us.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We do not use advertising or profiling cookies.
Two small entries are kept in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device, are never sent to us, and are strictly necessary, so they do not require consent (Article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI-CE and the GDPR): your language choice, and your answer to the cookie banner.
Optional cookies and similar technologies load only if you accept them in the cookie banner. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and you can change your mind at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer. Cookies that have already been set can also be deleted in your browser settings.
- Statistics: Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited, with transfers to the USA covered by recognised safeguards) measures how many people visit, which pages they view and roughly where they come from. We use it without advertising features, and Google keeps the data for 14 months.
- External services: the Cal.com booking calendar, when shown on this page, may set its own cookies and processes your data under its own privacy policy.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Owner |
|---|---|---|---|
ge-lang (local storage) | Remembers your language | Until you delete it | This website |
ge-consent (local storage) | Remembers your cookie choice | 12 months | This website |
_ga | Tells visitors apart for the statistics | 2 years | |
_ga_<ID> | Keeps the session state for the statistics | 2 years | |
| Cal.com cookies (only if you accept) | Booking calendar | Set by Cal.com | Cal.com |
Links to Cal.com or WhatsApp that open in their own window are governed by those services' own policies.
4. Legal basis
We process your data to answer your request and to take steps towards a contract, based on your consent when you submit the form or accept optional cookies, and on our legitimate interest in running a secure website and our business.
5. Service providers and transfers abroad
We share data only with providers that help us handle your enquiry:
- Formspree (Formspree, Inc., USA) delivers the messages sent through the contact form to our mailbox.
- Cal.com hosts the page where you can book a call. It is only involved if you click the booking link or accept external services, and processes your data under its own privacy policy.
- Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited, and Google LLC in the USA) provides website statistics, only if you accept the statistics cookies.
- Our email provider stores our correspondence with you.
- WhatsApp (Meta) is only involved if you choose to write to us there.
Some of these providers are located outside Switzerland and the EU/EEA, in particular in the USA. Where this is the case we rely on recognised safeguards, such as an adequacy decision, the Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep your data
For as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting project, and for statutory retention periods. Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted after a reasonable time, typically within 24 months. Website statistics are kept for 14 months.
7. Your rights
You can ask us at any time for access to your data, and for its correction, deletion, restriction or transfer. You can also object to the processing and withdraw your consent with effect for the future. Write to info@garridoelectronics.com. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or in the EU/EEA your local supervisory authority.
8. Changes
We may update this notice when the website or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
