Good electronics starts long before the first line is routed. The schematic is where requirements become a design, and where most of the cost, risk and performance of the final product are decided. We design the hardware of your product from the requirement to a reviewed, buildable schematic.
What we design
- Analog, digital and mixed-signal circuits, including sensor front ends, signal conditioning and data acquisition.
- Power supplies and power management, from battery-powered low-power designs to switched-mode converters.
- Microcontroller, SoC and FPGA based platforms, including memory, clocks, reset and debug access.
- Wired and wireless interfaces such as USB, Ethernet, CAN, RS-485, SPI, I2C, Bluetooth Low Energy and Wi-Fi.
- Protection and robustness: ESD, surge, reverse polarity, and behaviour at start-up and brown-out.
How we approach it
We start by writing the requirements down with you: functions, environment, volumes, cost target and the standards the product must meet. From there we choose an architecture, select components with availability and lifecycle in mind, and calculate the critical parts of the circuit before drawing them, so the design is checked on paper and in simulation instead of on the bench.
Component choice is part of the design, not an afterthought. We check stock, lead times and second sources early, and we document why each critical part was chosen, so a shortage later does not mean starting again.
What you receive
- A clean, hierarchical schematic with annotations and design notes.
- A bill of materials with manufacturer part numbers and sourcing remarks.
- Calculations and simulations for the critical circuits.
- A design review record, so your team understands the decisions behind the circuit.
When it makes sense to call us
You have a product idea and no hardware team, your team lacks capacity for a new board, or you need a specific competence such as low-power design, power electronics or mixed-signal measurement. We can take the hardware from requirement to release, or deliver the schematic and hand it to your own layout and firmware teams.
Frequently asked questions
Can you work from my existing specification?
Yes. If you already have a specification we review it with you first, point out gaps or conflicts, and then design against it. If you only have an idea, we help you turn it into one.
Do you also do the PCB layout and firmware?
Yes, and combining them is where the biggest advantages are: hardware, layout and firmware decisions are taken together. You can also engage us for the schematic only. See PCB layout and embedded firmware.
